WP-Auto Image Grabber | WordPress.org

Inserts an image from a page you link to at the start of your blog post. A simple algorithm tries to get a «main content» image (rather than an advertisement), automatically providing your post with relevant, attributed artwork. This is especially useful for bloggers who syndicate posts to sites like Facebook or Digg, which use the first image in a post as a thumbnail for their post.

This plugin requires PHP 5; sites running on PHP 4 will produce fatal errors.

By default, the plugin will follow the first link in your blog post and grab what it thinks is an appropriate main content image from there. If your posts follow a particular structure or pattern, you can tell the plugin to follow a certain link (such as a link with a particular class) by setting the Pointer element for destination page value to an XPath query that returns the link you want.

For instance, the following XPath query will match the first link with a class of grab-me:

//a[@class="grab-me"][1]

Here’s an XPath query that will match the first link within the very last paragraph of your post:

//p[position()=last()]/a[1]

For more XPath (and XQuery) syntax examples, refer to the XPath specification at the W3C. If you’re a developer, you may also find several XPath tools helpful.

Additionally, this plugin allows you to set a custom class value on the <img> element that it adds to your post by specifying it in the Image class value setting. For maximum compatibility, consider using one of the WordPress-generated classes most themes utilize. For instance, using alignright will probably make the automatically-added image float to the right.This plugin uses PHP5’s DOMDocument methods to parse both your post and the remote page. It uses XPath to query the DOM.

Download the plugin file.
Unzip the file into your ‘wp-content/plugins/’ directory.
Go to your WordPress administration panel and activate the plugin.

Will the plugin change my posts, database, or anything else?

No; this plugin uses WordPress filters to make changes on-the-fly. It does not change the content of your posts in any way, and it uninstalls cleanly, without leaving a trace. 🙂

Does the plugin save the images or offer any caches?

No, not at this time, but I’m hoping to add this optional capability to future versions of the plugin. (Patches welcome.)

Для настройки граббинга контента со стен сообществ и групп социальной сети Вконтакте, а также импорта информации из RSS-потоков вам достаточно лишь указать URL-адрес.

Импортируя полнотекстовую информацию, вам понадобится помимо URL-адреса указать следующие данные: шаблоны ссылок, кодирование HTML-страницы, начальную и конечную точки текста, шаблоны заголовка.

Настройке лент WPGrabber для вебмастеров знакомых с PHP и Perl научиться несложно:

В плагине WPGrabber выбираем «Настройка лент», затем в поле «Наименования ленты» для настройки импорта пишем какое либо название, для удобного поиска при большом количестве лент.
Значение html вписываем в поле «Тип ленты».
«URL индексной страницы» — следующий необходимый параметр, который необходимо обязательно указать. Это URL-адрес браузера той страницы сайта, с которого вы будете скачивать интересующие вас новости или просто информацию.
Далее следует такой важный параметр, как «Кодировка HTML-страницы». Информация находится в исходном коде между тегами head
Теперь определяем один из самых важнейших параметров, с которого начинается сброс информации интересующих вас сайтов. Для того чтобы правильно задать параметры «Шаблон ссылок», нужно взглянуть на вид ссылок в их исходном коде страницы HTML и с помощью регулярных выражений задать шаблон поиска ссылок на странице донора.

This plugin connects files generated by the WeeWX weather server software (or other software using the supported format and naming conventions) and displays the weather data in wordpress using widgets.

This plugin was originally developed for the wview weather server software and may still work with that software. However, as wview is no longer actively maintained, it will not be tested with this plugin.

2: Bravery, Patience and Forgiveness. This software is pre-1.0. It is being actively worked on.

1: Install the plugin in WordPress.

2: Install the included phpparameter.htm.tmpl (found in the wxgrabber plugin directory) in the Standard Skin and add it in the skin.conf file under «[[ToDate]]» as[[[all]]]template = phpparameterlist.htm.tmpl

2b: If you are not running weewx you can still use this plugin by having your weather software create a delimited text file similar to phpparameter.htx. Name and value pairs can be omitted but names (before the semi-colon) MUST remain the same.

3: Setup the Weather Grabber plugin in the «Settings» area of WordPress

4: Add and setup a Widget under Appearance
